The history of the Blattnerhof

The hotel (called "Gasthaus Blatten") was built in 1934/35 by Cäsar Eggel (1886-1935) - .

The first hall was added in 1952.

Therese Jäger-Eggel (1918-1992), the daughter of Cäsar Eggel, ran the Blattnerhof from the beginning until 1971, when the hotel was sold to the Walker and Fux consortium.

In 1975 Josef Wyden bought the hotel - The hotel was renamed Hotel "Blattnerhof Blattnerhof"

There was further renovation and expansion in 1975/76. The hotel then became the property of Sonja Roten-Wyden.

In 1987 Belalp Bahnen AG bought the hotel. In 1993 extensive renovation and restoration work was carried out.

In autumn 2005 Belalp Bahnen AG sold the hotel to Walter Berchtold.

In summer 2006 a SPA was built. In addition, the Blattnerhof is being expanded by 17 rooms and a dining room, and a lift is also being built (extension on the west side).

The exterior facade of the old building continues to shine with the timeless beauty of a venerable hotel, the new building from 2006 fits in seamlessly without dominating.

The same applies to the extension built in autumn 2010 (new reception/lobby): Hotel guests are greeted at a spacious reception and can relax in the lobby by the fireplace with a drink.

In December 2012 we opened the indoor and outdoor pool. This was created by adding an extension to the wellness area.

In autumn 2013 we built a parking garage parallel to the work on the new gondola lift. The parking garage can be reached from the hotel via a lift.

In December 2016 we completed the last extension with 16 deluxe rooms. The rooms have separate toilets - box-spring beds - and spacious showers. We have installed a solar system for hot water on the roof.

We have been producing our own electricity since November 2018: A 29.89 kwp system supplies us with electricity on sunny days!

In autumn 2021 we completely renovated all standard rooms in the rustic part of our house.

Total 53 rooms (21 standard rooms in the old building on 3 floors, 16 superior rooms in the 2006 extension on 2 floors and 16 deluxe rooms in the new building in 2016)

2 halls with a total of 140 seats

Pizzeria with approx. 50 seats (no pizza on Mondays and Tuesdays in summer)
